The FCLU has developed the Certified Ethical Family Attorney program, CEFA™, for attorneys who uphold the principles of the FCLU. Our system of rigorous background checks, ethics violation investigations, plaintiff and defendant feedback, ongoing checks & balances and yearly continuing education credit (CEC) requirements will efficiently track and qualify your status as a Certified Ethical Family Law Attorney. Attorneys can apply to become CEFA™ Certified by requesting an application from our General Counsel. Your yearly membership fee goes towards administrative costs involved in certifying you as an ethical member of the community. New American Bar Association (ABA) members may become CEFA™ certified with membership fees waived for the first two (2) years with a sliding scale applied for the next three (3) years.
